Preparations for the Farmers Market Stall on the 21st March are under way.  Please pray for this witness together in our community, and contact   if you are able to attend the stall for any period during the morning.

Musical Evening – Allerton URC – 7.30pm

With Grand National Men's Barbershop.

Allerton URC are holding a musical evening featuring the  Grand National Men’s Barbershop Four Part  Harmony Singing Group and other musical contributions. Journey into Freedom   A retreat for Lent and Easter

This Lent Retreat is a course in prayer, offering  Daily Scripture and picture meditations based on the Spiritual Exercises of St.Ignatius of Loyola .You can do it by yourself  via a daily  email  or a book , or  you may join  a  group  which will meet at the Cenacle  on Monday evenings,  beginning March 2nd  ( 7 for 7.15 p.m. ).

CREDIT UNION and RIVERSIDE’S FLOATING SUPPORT

Every Tuesday at St Barnabas 10.30am - Noon

St Barnabas Church host a Lodge Lane Credit Union drop in service in church.  A full range of Credit Union services is available.

There is also a drop-in support service, run by the Riverside Housing Floating Support Team which promotes the wellbeing and independence of vulnerable people in Liverpool.   Advice on matters such as, budgeting, debt management, accessing benefits and finding/sustaining accommodation is available.

Tea and coffee is available between 10.30am and noon.

South Liverpool Linking Lives - Over 60’s Group Mossley Hill Parish Church 2pm – 3.30pm

South Liverpool Linking Lives run a free group for anyone over 60 every Wednesday from 2-3.30pm at Mossley Hill Church, offering a mixture of activities (quizzes, board games, chair exercises etc) as well as time for chat and refreshments. Free transport can be provided (please get in touch for more info).

CTMH World Day of Prayer Service – Bishop Eton – 1.30pm

Please join us for our Annual World Day of Prayer Service, All Welcome.

Women, men and children of all ages are called to 'Rise, take your mat and walk' to join this day of prayer. 

Women of Zimbabwe have prepared this year's service and they encourage us all to reflect on the difficulties and unrest that have plagued their country over many years.

They share the challenges they have met and the hopes they have for the future. They encourage us to 'Rise, take your mat and walk' with them as they continue their often turbulent journey towards full reconciliation.  The Service will finish about 2.30pm and will be followed by refreshments.

Our Daily Bread Ministries Bible Conference:
John: The Disciple Jesus Loved - Bridge Chapel 10.30am – 5.00pm  

Our Daily Bread Ministries are delighted to be able to hold their 2020 conference in both London and Liverpool this year, so that more people will be able to join us for a great day of studying God’s Word together!  

The main Speaker Rev. Bill Crowder is a Bible teacher from Our Daily Bread Ministries with over twenty years of pastoral experience, Bill is passionate about helping others study God’s Word! He has written several books including Singing the Songs of the Brokenhearted: Psalms that Comfort and Mend the Soul.  

There will be breaks between the sessions and an extended break for lunch.   There will also be a presentation during the day about Our Daily Bread Ministries, including who we are, what we do and what resources we have available to help you draw closer to God every day.

Mossley Hill Parish Church 10.30 – 3.30pm

The Makers Market is back at Mossley Hill Church for Spring, on Saturday 7th March at 10.30am. There will be lots of wonderful small businesses with amazing goods on offer so please drop in and have a browse.  Our Hilltop cafe will be open all day for delicious food and light refreshments.  Hope to see you there!

This is simple but great witness together on Allerton Road.  Please email 

if you are able to attend the stall for half an hour or more during the morning. We will:

  • Display the general church banners as the Christmas Stall with minor amendments if necessary.
  • Promote Easter and Holy Week Activities at our Churches
  • Hand out Easter Cards
  • Hand out Hope Easter Magazine
  • Hand out info for the Liverpool Passion
  • Display info/handouts on general community and outreach activities run by our churches (Not commercial activities this time)

LIVERPOOL PASSION  William Brown Street 12.15 pm and 3pm

In living memory there has never been a large outdoor Passion play in Liverpool city centre and 2020 is going to change that. In Another Place who are known for the award winning Alice Experience and Narnia Experience in St George’s Hall are delighted to be producing a live retelling of the Easter story performed by Liverpool People for Liverpool People on 10th April 2020.  More info www.liverpoolpassion.com Tickets £5 - £7 from Ticket Quarter    


 

City Centre Ecumenical Walk of Witness 2pm

Come and join the Archbishop of Liverpool, the Bishop of Liverpool, and other CTMR Presidents as they walk together through the main shoppingstreets of Liverpool.

Christians from all denominations are invited to be part of this witness to our Easter faith as we walk together, read the Bible, and pray with the people of the City.

This has become one of our primary opportunities to show the unity of Christians in our region. The walk begins at 2pm outside the Metropolitan Cathedral, and ends at 3pm with a short act of worship followed by refreshments at Liverpool Parish Church.

New Wine Accessible Church Conference  - Preston

How to be welcoming & inclusive for people  with additional needs.  Empowering Church leaders, volunteers and communities to be more welcoming and inclusive for people with additional needs.  As well as providing a unique opportunity to meet and learn from others with a similar passion or experience, there will be dedicated teaching, practical application and ideas on welcoming and including all people with additional needs – plus their parents and carers.
